Helping Seniors TV Host Joe Steckler visits with Kerry Fink, who serves as Media Director for Helping Seniors of Brevard, about the mission of Helping Seniors to communicate with the 125,000+ seniors who live in the Space Coast Area.
Helping Seniors of Brevard is a small, honest group of people working to build sustainable, community-focused ways to help people in need. Since opening its first office in August 2014, Helping Seniors has: Provided case management to 700+ seniors and families in Brevard; Conducted a senior survey, generating hundreds of responses and laying groundwork for the first Brevard County aging plan; Expanded Helping Senirs newsletter to 8-pages; Extended print to Ebony News Today, Al Dia Today, Senior Scene Magazine, Hometown News, and Spotlight Magazine; Continued weekly radio shows on WMEL AM 1060, now with 50,000-watt regional coverage; Increased TV shows to 18x weekly SCG TV/3x weekly Bright House Networks and received a 1992 XJS V12 ruby red Jaguar with only 38,000 miles – currently being raffled for the elder care endowment.
