Florida Legal Aid Eviction Prevention Project
The Florida Legal Aid (FLA) Eviction Prevention Project is a HUD initiative. It provides crucial legal aid services to vulnerable residents across the state to protect them from eviction.
The Project will provide:
- Education and outreach to tenants at imminent risk of eviction;
- Access to improved technology to help prevent future barriers to renting;
- Assistance to tenants to avoid or reduce the negative impacts of a potential eviction, such as referrals to other service providers like Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) administrators, as well as comprehensive legal services in other areas;
- Collaboration with courts, judges, and other parties to create and promote eviction diversion programs; and
- Legal representation in relation to legal filings and court proceedings, including negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, and the provision of limited representation and counsel and advice, as well as assistance filing fair housing complaints related to eviction.

Helping Seniors Car Raffle

On the weekend of Aug 20/21, Helping Seniors of Brevard, a 100% local 501(c)(3) non-profit, will have be on-site with one of their raffle cars displayed at Immaculate Conception Catholic church.

Their mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors and their families through the provision of information and education and to connect them to available resources.

Tickets will be available after all Masses and your support is much appreciated. The raffle winner will have their choice of selecting either a 2023 Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Camaro, Mazda Miata, Kia Sportage, or Mitsubishi Outlander, from the Boniface-Hiers family of dealerships.
