1100am – Check-In, Enjoy Healthy Snacks and a complimentary Hot or Cold Beverage and visit our Senior Resource Center Partner Tables for great information and resources to help you navigate Senior years well.
1115am – Special Presentation – “Healthy Sleep” – Educational Program Presented by Kristine Quattrone, CarePlus Health Plans – Helping us learn how to stay happy and healthy as we add years!
1135am – Special Presentation – “Medication Therapy Management” – You might have heard the word “Polypharmacy” – Web MD says it “is when you take several medications each day, often defined as five or more. While you may need these medicines to treat or prevent health issues, multiple drugs can sometimes be harmful. Inappropriate polypharmacy is when you take too many medications and have unsafe side effects.” Let’s learn how to keep you safe from dangerous drug interactions and be sure the medications you are taking are helping – and not harmful!
Dr. Chrisita Cornish, a Licensed Pharmacist, of FaithWalkbyTwo.org, understands the complex and dynamic interactions that prescriptions – and over-the-counter and herbal remedies – can have. Her mission is to help Seniors review what they are taking – and what they have in their medicine cabinets – to ensure that it is helpful and useful.
1155am – We take a “Healthy Break!” Let’s take a few minutes to enjoy some Healthy Snacks and a complimentary Hot or Cold Beverage.
1210pm – Special Interactive Session – Schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Chrisita Cornish and bring your actual medications with you and she will evaluate professionally your own particular medications and offer guidance for you to review with your doctor.
1230pm – Presentations Conclude and Door Prizes are announced.
