Helping Seniors Radio Host Kerry Fink visits with Laura McCarthy, Executive Director of Brevard Recovery Fest – a free September 12th 2026, family-friendly event at the Melbourne Auditorium that is focused on ending the stigma of addictions & mental health, bringing education, awareness, and resources for treatment and recovery.
Kerry also visits with Westside Jr/Sr High Senior Raaha Sellamuth, an aspiring Cardiothoracic Surgeon-Scientist, and founder of Mindcare Medics. Raaha founded MindCare Medics to educate the community about brain health, challenge stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, connect students with seniors, and support caregivers and aging nonprofits.
