Helping Seniors May 2025 The Aging Plan Series A key component of your Aging Plan—what we call “Getting Your Ducks in a Row”—is having a solid Retirement Finances strategy. This is not the same as the retirement planning you did while working. Instead, it’s about ensuring your finances are structured to last throughout your lifetime. In this segment, we’ll hear from Tisha Hill, Financial Advisor, who brings both professional expertise and personal passion to the topic. Tisha serves on the Helping Seniors Board of Directors and is the current Treasurer of our non-profit organization. Tisha joined Raymond James & Associates in May 2010, bringing with her a strong background in financial services dating back to 1995. She began her career at Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley), where she earned her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. Over the years, she has added several credentials to her name, including: Here in Florida, we all know the importance of having a Hurricane Plan—not because we want a storm, but because we want to be prepared. Helping Seniors Wellness Series! May 2025 – Senior Wellness - Mind & Body The Community Education Series Wellness for Seniors - especially as they face major life transitions such as retirement, loss of loved ones, or dealing with chronic illnesses - can mean learning to cope as well as to manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional struggles, to improve their overall mental health. Tami Leeberg is a board-certified Adult and Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who already had 23 years experience as a registered nurse prior to obtaining her practitioner’s degree. While working as a registered nurse, her love was in cardiology, internal and emergency medicine and inpatient psychiatric care. She also was experienced in oncology, neurology, and surgical services. She discovered her love for dementia patients when she became the night charge nurse at Friends Fellowship in Richmond, Indiana. They gave her the opportunity to help develop the original program for the first Alzheimer’s Community in Richmond. Tami’s desire as a primary care provider is to focus on the geriatric population with a special interest in dementia patients suffering from depression, anxiety and behaviors and her goal is to empower seniors to regain emotional balance, build resilience, and experience improved mental well-being. The Senior Education Series provides information and services for today’s Seniors (and those who love & care for them!) at convenient central locations in Brevard County.
Established in 2019, in cooperation with Zon Beachside Assisted Living, and a number of partners committed to excellence in serving seniors, the Senior Resource Center of Brevard introduced a Senior Education Series that has become known for covering topics that are important to Seniors in Brevard County.
In addition to regular programs at our “Home Port” – Joe’s Senior Resource Center of Brevard – located 2nd Floor of the Omni Professional Tower at 1344 S Apollo Blvd in Melbourne FL – the Helping Seniors expands our Community Education series to include additional locations throughout Brevard County.
The Seminar is Free although we ask you to please RSVP so we are able to get an accurate attendance plan as space is limited we want to plan correctly for the complimentary Snacks & Refreshments for those who do RSVP.
