Daily Bread, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Melbourne, Florida dedicated to improving the dignity and quality of life of the hungry and the needy. Host Joe Steckler talks with Executive Director John Farrell about help for seniors that Daily Bread can provide.
Daily Bread’s vision is to ensure everyone has access to the food and services necessary to become self-sufficient. Daily Bread’s mission is to provide the dignity and quality of life to the hungry and needy they serve, with daily hot meals and access to hygienic services. Together with community partners, they provide food collection, distribution services, and access to social and educational agencies providing clients with the opportunity to become self-sufficient.
Dining Facility:
Open to those in need 365 days each year, Daily Bread provides clients with a free nutritionally balanced hot meal from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
Food Bank Warehouse:
Daily Bread collects and distribute approximately 755,000 pounds of food each year. The food is use to feed Daily Bread clients and supports other partnering food pantries
Buescher Outreach Center:
Daily Bread provides clients with services and products to clean themselves and clothing and they provide space to partnering agencies who provide medical and other social services.
Thrift Shop:
The Thrift Shop, situated on the soup kitchens original site, provides a funding stream to assist in supporting Daily Bread’s mission & ministries
Daily Bread is dedicated to improving the dignity and quality of life of the hungry and the needy. Their Vision is to ensure that no one goes hungry, no food is wasted in our community, and no one is denied the opportunity or the assistance they need to become self-sufficient.
