Helping Seniors of Brevard is a small, honest group of people working to build sustainable, community-focused ways to help people in need. Since opening its first office in August 2014, Helping Seniors has: Provided case management to 700+ seniors and families in Brevard; Conducted a senior survey, generating hundreds of responses and laying groundwork for the first Brevard County aging plan; Expanded Helping Senirs newsletter to 8-pages; Extended print to Ebony News Today, Al Dia Today, Senior Scene Magazine, Hometown News, and Spotlight Magazine; Continued weekly radio shows on WMEL AM 1060, now with 50,000-watt regional coverage; Increased TV shows to 18x weekly SCG TV/3x weekly Bright House Networks and received a 1992 XJS V12 ruby red Jaguar with only 38,000 miles – currently being raffled for the elder care endowment
