Join Joe Steckler, Program Host, for this discussion of the Power of Prayer with Bill Gent, of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (Indialantic FL) and Dr. Sergio Reyes, of Calvary Baptist Church (Melbourne FL).
Holy Name of Jesus is located in Indialantic, Florida, serving a thriving and vibrant central space coast, beachside community. As a Catholic Community, one of Holy Name of Jesus’ steadfast mottos is “All Are Welcome”: They seek make sure that everyone who walks onto the campus feels they have come to a place which affirms, welcomes and engages all people.
Organized in 1961, Calvary Baptist Church has a reputable history in the city of Melbourne. The church was organized to provide a place of worship to those living on the north side of the city that was known then as Eau Gallie. There was not much on the north side, and the church was considered “a country church in the middle of nowhere.” Throughout these decades, the church has seen hundreds come to full time Christian service. Many became pastors and missionaries. The church currently supports approximately 90 missionary families and mission works.
